PRODUCTION AND STOCK INCREASE<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The average global price of palm oil in March 2022 reached US$ 1,813\/ton Cif Rotterdam, an increase of US$291 from that of February at US$1,522. The average price at the joint marketing office (KPB) FOB in March reached US$ 1,151\/ton (Rp 16,510\/kg), an increase of US$ 69 from that of February at US$1,082\/ton (Rp 15,532\/kg). With that price, the export value of palm oil products in March amounted to US$ 3,513 million, an increase of US$ 713 million from that of February at US$ 2,799 million.<\/p>\n

The export volume in March was 2,018 thousand tons or 80 thousand tons lower than the export in February at 2,098 thousand tons. The largest decrease was seen in refined palm oil from 1,687 thousand tons in February to 1,549 thousand tons in March and oleochemical from 298 thousand tons in February to 342 thousand tons in March. In terms of export destination, the largest decrease was seen to Russia at 50%, followed by Malaysia at 41% and Netherlands at 33%.<\/p>\n

The local consumption in March reached 1,507 thousand tons, as compared to 1,377 thousand tons in February. The largest consumption increase was seen for foods, which rose from 489 thousand tons in February to 635 thousand tons in March (+146 thousand tons). The consumption for oleochemical was relatively stable, while consumption for biodiesel saw a bit drop from 710 thousand tons in Febuary to 697 thousand tons in March.<\/p>\n

Production in March rose to 3,782 thousand tons of CPO and 368 thousand tons of PKO, from 3,505 thousand tons of CPO in February and 329 thousand tons of PKO due to seasonal factor. The significant increase of production is seen as a huge relief after being stagnant for a long period. With the local production, local consumption and exports mentioned above, the final stock of palm oil in March rose from 5,051 thousand tons to 5,683 thousand tons.<\/p>\n
