{"id":28081,"date":"2024-06-25T01:36:53","date_gmt":"2024-06-25T01:36:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gapki.id\/en\/?p=28081"},"modified":"2024-07-02T02:01:12","modified_gmt":"2024-07-02T02:01:12","slug":"ri-holds-palm-oil-training-for-participants-from-17-countries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gapki.id\/en\/news\/2024\/06\/25\/ri-holds-palm-oil-training-for-participants-from-17-countries\/","title":{"rendered":"RI Holds Palm Oil Training For Participants From 17 Countries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BOGOR \u2013 A total of 36 participants from 17 like-minded countries (LMCs) are attending a training of capacity improvement on sustainable palm oil cultivation in Bogor, West Java.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-28082\" src=\"https:\/\/gapki.id\/en\/dir-site\/uploads\/2024\/07\/capacity_building_.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1017\" height=\"577\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gapki.id\/en\/dir-site\/uploads\/2024\/07\/capacity_building_.jpg 1017w, https:\/\/gapki.id\/en\/dir-site\/uploads\/2024\/07\/capacity_building_-300x170.jpg 300w, https:\/\/gapki.id\/en\/dir-site\/uploads\/2024\/07\/capacity_building_-768x436.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1017px) 100vw, 1017px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The training, which will last from 22 June to 2 July 2024, is a collaboration between Indonesia\u2019s foreign ministry (Kemenlu), Bogor University of Agriculture (IPB University)\u00a0and the International Development Cooperation Fund Institution (LDKPI).<\/p>\n<p>The foreign ministry\u2019s America and Europe Director General Umar Hadi said that the training is also part of Indonesian government\u2019s efforts to share knowledge and experience on palm oil with other countries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe exhange of experiences and good practices on oil palm cultivation is needed to ensure that the palm oil can sustain in the global market,\u201d Umar Hadi said in the IPB International Convention Center, Bogor, as quoted by <em>Antara<\/em> on Monday (24\/6\/2024).<\/p>\n<p>He said the 17 countries are Argentine, Bolivia, Brazil, Dominica, Equador, Ghana, Guatemala, Colombia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Lucia\u00a0and Thailand. \u201cThere are also participants from Indonesia as the host,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Umar Hadi said that the training participants consist of researchers, policy makers, businessmen and diplomats. \u201cLooking forward, the challenge in palm oil industries is how to ensure that smallholders can survive and thrive in the agriculture sector. The farmers\u2019 welfare is very dependent on the commodities they cultivate.
