(COMAC).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gapki.id\/en\/news\/2024\/09\/22\/china-completes-test-flights-with-sustainable-fuel\/china_aircraft_airplane_nikkei_ft-com\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-28578\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-28578\" src=\"https:\/\/gapki.id\/en\/dir-site\/uploads\/2024\/09\/china_aircraft_airplane_nikkei_ft.com_.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"944\" height=\"562\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gapki.id\/en\/dir-site\/uploads\/2024\/09\/china_aircraft_airplane_nikkei_ft.com_.jpg 717w, https:\/\/gapki.id\/en\/dir-site\/uploads\/2024\/09\/china_aircraft_airplane_nikkei_ft.com_-300x179.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 944px) 100vw, 944px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The demonstration flights showed the sound flight performance of the Chinese commercial aircraft, the COMAC said.<\/p>\n<p>SAF is a liquid aviation fuel alternative to traditional jet fuel. Made from renewable materials, it can reduce carbon emissions by up to 80 percent over the fuel&#8217;s life cycle compared to conventional jet fuel.<\/p>\n<p>The application of SAF is an important measure for the global civil aviation industry to deal with global warming and reduce carbon emissions.<\/p>\n<p>So far, a number of Chinese airlines have conducted commercial test flights using China-made SAF, with a dozen domestic enterprises and institutes working on the research, development and production of SAF.<\/p>\n<p>Making full use of green resources, the SAF used in the demonstration flights is made from waste oil from meals, according to the COMAC.
