Is it factual or just a myth? The next facts and descriptions will answer the question.<\/p>\n<p>Vegetable oils have been recommended by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as one of global food sources. There are 17 kinds of vegetable oils in the world, of which four kinds, namely palm oil, soybean, rapeseed, and sunflower, control 90% market share at the global market.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The question is which one of the four main vegetable oils become the world\u2019s largest emitter of carbon dioxide and the lowest emitter of carbon emissions? The study of Beyer et al. (2020) and Beyer and Rademacher (2021) found that at the level of global ecosystem, for every ton of produced vegetable oils (photo 10), the largest source of carbon emissions is from soybean. It is followed by peanut oil, rapeseed, and sunflower.<\/p>\n<p>The study found that palm oil is the lowest emitter of carbon emissions in the world.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/gapki.id\/dir-site\/uploads\/2024\/10\/gambar_10_perbandingan_emisi_karbon_.png?resize=1172%2C825&amp;ssl=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If compared to carbon emissions from production of palm oil, the emissions from production of soybean is higher by 425%, emissions from peanut oil is higher by 424%, from rapeseed by 242%, and sunflower by 225%.<\/p>\n<p>The study result has proven that production of palm oil is the lowest in terms of carbon emissions.
