But since the beginning the government has laid the foundations on how to set policies regarding the national development across all sectors and regions\/spaces. The national policies are in the form of laws and regulations ranging from those issued by ministries to those of implementing ones issued by lower institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Laws related to national development management include (Table 1) in the form of laws and government regulations concerning policies on spatial management, land, technology, management, natural resources and the environment, human resources, products, and others. All of these laws have been pushed towards adopting the sustainable development paradigm. Indonesia adopts a sustainable development paradigm where economic, social and environmental development run in a balanced, inclusive and harmonious manner.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/gapki.id\/dir-site\/uploads\/2024\/12\/tabel_1_kebijakan_dan_tata_kelola_nasional_.png?resize=1200%2C834&amp;ssl=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Indonesia&#8217;s consistency with the sustainable development paradigm is increasingly evident with the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a new platform for world development for the 2015-2030 period. The Indonesian government&#8217;s commitment to contribute to achieving the SDGs is stated in Presidential Regulation No. 59 of 2017 and Presidential Regulation No. 111 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (TPB). As an implementing regulation to support the implementation of the SDGs\/TPB in Indonesia, the Minister of National Development Planning issued Regulation of the Minister of National Development Planning No. 7 of 2018 on coordination of planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.<\/p>\n<p>Mainstreaming SDGs\/TPB in development planning in Indonesia (Ministry of PPN, 2020) is also shown in the Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2000-2024, the Strategic Plan (Renstra) of Ministries\/Institutions 2000-2024, the Annual Government Work Plan (RKP), and the National Action Plan (RAN). Mainstreaming SDGs\/TPB is also undertaken in planning at the regional level as stated in the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMND) and the Regional Action Plan (RAD).<\/p>\n<p>Sustainable development is also holistic and not fragmentized (indivisibility). Sustainable development in a region cannot be realized if only one sector or one industry is sustainable. Sustainable development must be seen as a whole, across sectors, across regions\/spaces and across generations.
