<\/a><\/p>\n\u201cLooking forward for the implementation of our mandatory programs of B50, B60 up to B100, we\u2019ll need additional land areas for palm plantation expansion to provide the necessary additional CPO supply,\u201d Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Yuliot Tanjung said during a hearing with the Committee II of the regional representatives council (DPD RI) in Senayan complex, Jakarta, on Monday.<\/p>\n
He said that producing 23.67 million kilolilters of B60, as upgrading from B50, will need crude palm oil (CPO) at 21.5 million tons and additional land areas for expansion of oil palm plantations at around 3.5 million ha.<\/p>\n
\u201cMeanwhile, to produce 39.45 million kiloliters of B100, we will need CPO at 35.9 million tons, with additional land areas for palm plantation expansion at \u00a04.6 million Ha.<\/p>\n
According to him, for the procurement of the additional land areas, the government has opened possibilities for the cooperatives and the general public to produce the additional CPO supply to fulfill the need for the implementation of the biodiesel programs from B50 to B100.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis year (2025), we\u2019ve implemented the B40, by producing it at around 15.6 million kl,\u201d said Yuliot Tanjung.<\/p>\n
He said that the government has prepared incentive at around Rp47.1 trillion for the mandatory biodiesel program. \u201cCurrenly, our need of CPO is at around 14.3 million tons. It can be fulfilled locally without additional expansion of palm plantations,\u201d said Yuliot.<\/p>\n
Previously, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Director General at the energy and mineral resources ministry (KESDM), Eniya Listiani Dewi said that the implementation of B40 program can reduce Indonesia\u2019s reliance on imports of oil fuels (BBM).<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s in line with the government\u2019s energy policy as envisioned by President Prabowo Subianto in the Asta Cita to realize Indonesia\u2019s self-sufficiency and resilience in energy.<\/p>\n
Since its implementation on 01 January 2025, the B40 production and distribution have been significantly realized. As of 18 February 2025, domestic distribution of B40 reached 1.47 million kl or 9.4% of the total national allocation at 15.616 million kl.<\/p>\n
