EXPORTS SOAR, STOCKS DECLINE<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Crude Palm Oil (CPO) production in June 2025 reached 4,823 thousand tons, an increase from 4,165 thousand tons in the previous month. Palm Kernel Oil (PKO) production also rose to 465 thousand tons, up from 396 thousand tons. On a year-on-year (YoY) basis, cumulative production of CPO and PKO up to June 2025 reached 27,889 thousand tons, or an increase of 6.51% compared to the 26,185 thousand tons recorded in the same period of 2024.<\/p>\n

Domestic consumption showed a slight increase. Oleochemical consumption rose to 192 thousand tons (+2.67% from 187 thousand tons in May). Biodiesel consumption climbed to 1,080 thousand tons (+3.95% from 1,039 thousand tons), while food consumption slightly decreased to 800 thousand tons from 803 thousand tons in May (-0.37%).<\/p>\n

Total palm oil exports in June surged to 3,606 thousand tons, marking a significant increase of 35.37% compared to 2,664 thousand tons in May. The sharpest rise came from processed palm oil exports, which grew to 2,599 thousand tons from 1,967 thousand tons (+32.13%). CPO exports also jumped to 418 thousand tons from 164 thousand tons (+155.67%), while oleochemical exports declined to 420 thousand tons from 437 thousand tons (-3.74%).<\/p>\n

By destination, export growth in June compared to May was mainly driven by shipments to China (+283 thousand tons), India (+224 thousand tons), Africa (+125 thousand tons), Pakistan (+69 thousand tons), Russia (+65 thousand tons), USA (+58 thousand tons), Bangladesh (+47 thousand tons), Malaysia (+39 thousand tons), and EU-27 (+10 thousand tons).<\/p>\n

The export value of palm oil products also increased, rising from US$ 2.822 billion in May to US$ 3.636 billion in June, representing a growth of 28.84%. On a YoY basis, cumulative export value from January\u2013June 2025 reached US$ 17.277 billion, up by 34.64% compared to US$ 12.832 billion in the same period of 2024. The increase was supported not only by higher export volumes but also by stronger average prices, with January\u2013June 2025 CIF Rotterdam prices averaging US$ 1,180\/ton, compared to US$ 1,000\/ton in the same period of 2024.<\/p>\n

With an opening stock of 2,916 thousand tons in June, combined CPO and PKO production reached 5,289 thousand tons, while domestic consumption rose to 2,072 thousand tons and exports climbed to 3,606 thousand tons. As a result, closing stock in June 2025 declined to 2,530 thousand tons.<\/p>\n
